1080p vs 1600x900

Hey guys just wanted to thank everyone who helped me out recovering my bad flash. I hope this isn't a dumb question but here goes.My original R4 had a 1600x900 display and I was able to overclock my Cpu to 45x4 without even a hiccup when benching with 3DMark Vantage. The replacement they sent me has a 1920x 1080 display. When I set the overclock now (45x4) sometimes I can't even get 3DVantage to open. When I am able to open it and bench with it, I noticed my fps dropped quite a bit in the graphics part of the bench. Why am I able to get much better scores with the 1600x900 resolution?By the way I lowered the resolution to 1600x900 in the desktop right click but it didn't help.

Higher pixel count means the cpu and gpu have to work harder so that's why your score is lower. Also not all cpu are built equal, some overclock better than others.

Also the replacement may had the CPU changed and repasted and it wasn't that successful so probably another attempt might be necessary to achieve best results.

1080p screen is an improvement for most of the people. Better in FHD movies watching and most of the games. You can lower the anti-aliasing to compensate the extra calculation required compare with 720p screen, yet probably still able to have better visual quallity. Stick with it for a few more days and see if you like it or not.
