DarthSmartt
I currently use Rufus to make bootable usbs. Does anyone have anything better?
thomas657
I checked Rufus website, it seems the burning speed is the best but it has compatibility issue with old USB drives.
carrie136
As did the Imgburn.Anyway, neither of them ever worked for me. I found some good alternatives on Google. http://www.freeisoburner.com/ https://www.uubyte.com/ https://www.filecroco.com/download-wintobootic/ Edited June 11, 2019 by carrie136
Wibeja
Yes I agree. Rufus is clearly the best. It is portable, low file size and really straigth forward. It support a lot of preconfigured presets for a lot of OS'es aswell.
HisDudeness
When I first migrated to GNU/Linux from Windows I used to rely on UNetBootin to create bootable USB pen drives. It's obviously FOSS and multi-platform, worked like a charm. Haven't used it in a decade as I'm just dd-ing images since I changed OS, but it should work with any .iso image AFAIK. https://unetbootin.github.io/ If you're still in need of help, try looking this one as well: http://www.isotousb.com/
4sterism
https://forums.guru3d.com/threads/guide-for-flashing-bios-of-nvidia-gpu.313989/ Theres a package here to create a bootable usb. That autoexecutes. I don't know if its better, but I was able to blind flash my gpu bios.
Sam102
I have a version of rufus for making bootable "MS-DOS" bootdisks. Rufus as you know don't work on windows 10 at all right out of the box. Windows 10 is missing files for Rufus to make a "MS-DOS" boot disk. I have added these files to a installer package and I call it "Rufus 1.2.0 Build(182) Win10 Fixed.rar". I give to this forum my file for everyone to have. FileName: Rufus 1.2.0 Build(182) Win10 Fixed.ra FileSize: 1.1 MB Download URL: https://mega.nz/#!ZI9WjaRa!_kriEbbB-v8p7KQCsTcMyhVd9gxK_a0K56jau9p54yA
Refai
Rufus is good enough, I wouldn't waste my time on alternatives as none are of the same quality
