Our company works with AutoCAD and Office, some of the guys are on the move and require laptops. We've had very good luck with Dell Laptops and Desktops and the customer service they provide, at least for business products, has been great for us. Besides that, they provide good pricing for many Laptops that will support your minor needs.

Although Dell might be having a tough time, I still agree if demand for a product is there, there might still be hope...maybe...please. But I would love to see a small M11X(12 max) like laptop in the works from Alienware. I personally bring my laptop around a lot and find that anything heavy and usually bigger than 12 inches becomes not only an annoyance but a huge burden to carry around without the worry of dropping it when your passing it around or moving from place to place, my laptop choice is a product of it's environment. I need a machine that can run AutoCAD adequately but takes a small footprint because sometimes I don't have a desk to work on and I'm at a construction site that I don't want to put my laptop down or it's gonna be sucking up concrete powders and what not. My M11x R3 has handled all this and more. This is why I like where this post is going, even if, there are people who are in the know and have an idea of Dell's thoughts, thoughts can change.

I love my Razer Naga even when I'm not using all the side keys. I use it for gaming and Autocad

I love my M11X R3 had it for a little over a year now, use it for AutoCAD 8 hours a day 5 days a week and play plenty of games on it with no problems so far. a great purchase
