  1. To be honest, none of those cards are capable of pushing games in high setting and stereoscopic 3D enabled in a FPS rate of around 60. Of course you can also use the 3D to watch movies which is more than incredible and while gaming accept a framerate lower than 60 (in 3D). The point is, if you want to game like a freak in 3D with super high detail and ultimate framerate, you would not... If you are a regular gamer, who won't get whimsy with all those technical crap and just say 'if this is playable then I'm happy', go for either of them. Bare in mind that 660m OCs like hell (overpassing 670m) and 670m can not be pushed that much, since it is fermi and it gets hot.

    Asus Covers

Those carbon wraps are quite good. The rubbery feel of the G75's cover is actually very nice but fragile to scratches or finger prints. When I bought mine I put that 'My SSD is faster than your HDD' sticker on it and some time ago I took it off, I haven't been able to this day to remove the glue print from that sticker. So my advise, if you are going to wrap it, do it entirely and not just portions of it because it will get messy.
  3. Depends on what are you using your notebook for. I have a G75 myself and I am loving it. My 660m is overclocking like hell, the build quality is incredible too, the looks are just off the chart... I have never tested a Mac Book Pro. If you want to transport your notebook every single day then the G75 is a little bit bulkier than the Mac. I also do not know how about the battery life of a Mac Book Pro but the Asus lasts 3hs while doing Office work in power save mode. Obviously it is your choice but as haby001 says, you should take a good look on specs too in order to make a decision.
  4. Nevermind, I found it. Now I have v223. The only thing is that as I am a new member I can not download things from this website until I reach 5 posts. Can somebody do me the favor of passing me the link of that 'flashing tool' at the first page that I can not download ? I would really appreciate it.
  5. I have a G75 and I am willing to serve as a tester. Are you still intersted ?
  6. At nbr there is an extense discussion about this. I was involved into it as well and concluded that there had to be done chassis tweaks, Bios tweaks, spending on a 680m that might not even work.... and much more. We got to a stage in which somebody was a bout to try it but then everything stopped and the project was almost left. I have G75 myself and as much as I want it to be possible I concluded that it is much better to wait for newer G series or even buy the new VX wich comes with the 670mx.
  7. Here you have a video that really helped me to know how thermal paste reacts and how to apply it.
  8. Can somebody pass me the link of the flashing tool ? I am new to the forum and can not see download links. Thnx. (Also, does this modded bios allow you to control the fan speed ?)
