  1. update @svl7 the modded vbios seems working after i tried to flash with different code. i used -6 first time and then nothing changed in vbios... and the second time i used -4 for the flash command and now its flashed alright i think coz core speed is unlocked now ^_^i will write more feedback afterward while using it. coz just flashed it and have no idea how stable it is and temps etc.. also tnx mate
  2. @svl7 mmm also after you mod the vbios the rom size should change or still same? coz the modded rom you uploaded is just same size as my original one.
  3. @svl7 i just flashed the modded gtx 675mx 4gb msi and i think something is missing... did not unlock the core speed limit... also idle temp increased by 2 to 4C havent tested with bench or games since core speed is not unlocked.... the procedure which i took was put the nvflash and other exe file in my dos bootable flash along with the modded vbios.rom - restart pc entered bios mode to change my boot mode from UEFI to legacy and save exit - boot options selected usb stick then in the dos: dir -> nvflash -a -> nvflash -6 vbios.rom -> asked me to if i really want to flash the image after matching the ID of vbios -. Y -> then successfully updated then i restarted my pc with ctrl +alt+del while pressing del to enter my bios to change back to UEFI boot mode and save exit and restarted. those are the things i did however still 135mhz limit how should i proceed?
  4. @svl7 i think isaacucb's vbios and mine are about same, is not it? maybe you could x use one modded vbios for different vendors? here is ss of gpu-z View image: Capture http://share.gogo.mn/vSZ1y8ae3A4891359647298/11A7.rom
  5. @Vlad np.. btw did you try out the latest ec from msi yet? as for me i feel that its much better than previous ec however i did not have any problem with the old ec. - - - Updated - - - @svl7 hey mate how is process on msi gtx 675mx im itching to kill my gpu hehe
  6. @Vlad if i not mistaken you mentioned that you are using modded bios which are 10m non raid right? since your not bios pro whom does not mess with bios then you have no benefit from unlocked bios just go for the latest msi bios because there are numbers of report than latest bios update had fixed the throttling and also if it does not help you at all reverse it. btw latest ec is proper with official bios also fan related issues has been fixed with ec update so lower temps than beta ec however best performance is with latest ec update + bios. if this combo does not work for you then you can go back so its worth to try out
  7. i think the latest official bios update fixed the throttling if you do not mind losing your unlock Ed state in bios
  8. erm what game does give you this 81C? if its something released in 2012 late then its pretty normal to get this temps while you pushed your gpu lil bit specially for gaming . once you applied a thermal paste its good for about 1 year so i do not think its necessary. but the choice is up to you...ps: most of ppl report their benchmark temperature which is lot more cooler than real gaming temp. for example... when i run 3dmark 11 on my machine it gets up to max 64C and when i run some high end games like HAWKEN or Crysis 3 it gets up to 84C sometimes but usually couple C lower. if it passes up to 95+ thats danger zone and also sign to repaste the cpu gpu.
  9. haha most ppl tend to use razor and steelseries guess really care so much about. for me atm i am using errm i dont really know haha some chinese mouse which has dpi switch and some other custom buttons and seems pretty decent and i do not really feel any difference between high end mouses and this chinese mouse. i used to use logitech hmm some wireless gaming mouse which costed me 68$ 2 years ago and sadly i broke the usb wireless stick for it and after that i bought this one and really2 i dont see any difference in sensors.
  10. room humidity management, laptop cooling pad, repaste the thermal grease, clean out the dust and reset EC. those should solve it. otherwise its hardware issue.
  11. guess then it was on the edge. btw i have heard that sometimes putting power setting to balanced or power save while putting gpu usage to 100% does give some boost to bench score. personally i never set my power setting to high performance which seems to increase temps due to intel turbo boost. once i tried bench my card with high performance setting in power control and i remember i was getting little bit lower score than i usually get with balanced in power setting. Maybe try again with power setting balanced? see if that helps. btw i have read that beta ec from warner is already out dated since there will not be new releases and also i have personally tried that ec with my gt 70 however i did not see any improvement with my gpu score but temp increase. does it really work as warner explained?edit... About the 390mhz plus on core which i mentioned was not on 680m here is the thread forum.notebookreview.com/alienware-m17x/698941-alienware-m17x-r2-running-gtx-675mx-2.html Guess its not possible to oc 680m with this clocks due to baseclock is already high as for 675mx baseclock is lower than 680m and more room to push it
  12. that pretty low for 680m something is not right. beta drivers are not really performers specially there are lots of bug reported in 313 beta which are fps drops low performance etc.. try 310.90 or 70 which are stable. also on the core and mem tweaking you should add more core and mem until your nb gets unstable and lower 20mhz from there and set it. your memory can handle up to +800mhz w.o any problem and also ive seen some guy overclocking 680m with very stable 390mhz + on core speed. so if you want some nice high scores on 3dmark try put some more power to it while keeping eye on the temps... i think you wont see some high temps with max oc on benchmarks however i would not recommend you to keep using higher overclocks for daily usage. push your gpu to the max only when you need some high scores on 3dmarks unless you ll degrade it.
  13. i use n8 ultra atm which is dual 140mm adjustable fans also am really satisfied with this one. fan speed is impressive and overall air blowing is best from what i have used before including deep cool n6 and zalman zm nc3000u. during full load temps are around 10 dec lower with this one. highly recommend this one for 17inch laptops for 15.6 inch this one is bit powerful that you can feel the air blow on your hands so not really comfortable for other inches of laptops
  14. update to latest EC here : http://www.msi.com/product/nb/GT60-0NC.html#/?div=Firmware&nbos=win8 . i think this is the right one assuming you have gtx 675m means yours is gt60 0nc.
  15. okay tnx for reply mate... i would ofc stay away from unlocked vbios of 680m since its not a fail proof. so is there any chance to get a modified vbios on gtx 675mx? btw i just got 5 posts here and just saw luox's vbios screen shot and mine is different than him
  16. btw is it possible to flash the msi 680m vbios on gtx 675mx since both are kepler? ive just checked the kepler vbios section and there are several of them and i also wanted to ask about overvolting. does OV increase temps? i am on stock 180w adapter so OV could cause power lack to mobo ? is OVing some how bad to gpu and mobo on stock 180w adapter? which one should i choose if its possible to flash 680m vbios to 675mx? OV or just unlocked OC edition?
  17. yeah i need that too also cant find any modded vbios for msi gtx675mx. Its a shame that its vbios is locked when the build of this card is literally monster oc ler. btw here is my back up of vbios made with gpu-z http://share.gogo.mn/vSZ1y8ae3A4891359647298/11A7.rom i think its same with luoxia's vbios but who knows.. oh yah,,i have just read some post of yours from some dude's topic which you mentioned that vbios of yours forces gpu to work under full load all the time <- that will shorten the life span of the gpu? for me i am a 3D score chaser so i would not need to use my nvidia gpu all the time and also gaming w.o oc is fine so i would really like to push my gpu to its limit when benchmarking and during normal usage i would stick to stock clock speed and low temps. oh ya btw unlocked vbios can control fan speed right? coz its locked for me atm which is pain in the butt.. and also THANK YOU whether its successful or not..
