ot According to the quick start manual of the w110er the bt led only shows if a bt card is installed or not when under windows 8 . - - - Updated - - - Just out of curiosity if non win 8 uefi boot is possible on the w110er ?

AFAIK kepler based card wont post on the gt683.

Since this is a optimus machine you will be stuck with the integrated gpu .

nvidia for me,dolphinity racer prefers their cards and never had a problem with their drivers,cant say much for ati/amd having no experience with anything newer than the radeon 9000 series though did run into driver glitches on a radeon ve based laptop.

maybe there are some relocated pins that causes the card not to be recognized ?

i think you have to disable the write protect on the flash chip to get the card to be recognized by nvflash
