I have the 6990M in my R1 and I want to upgrade to either the 7970M or the 680Ms. Could you please tell me why you chose the 7970M over the 680Ms? Thanks in advance.

By the way, I have 6990M on my R1 and I would definitely stick to nVidia cards from now on due to the problems with AMD cards. That's my .02...

Yes, you can get another 680m down the road from Dell. You would need the 680m card itself, the SLI cable, the backplate and the heat sink. But I must warn you ahead of time, the parts aren't cheap. I have a M18x R1 and have been planning to upgrade for the longest time. The price of the parts turned me off.

After using the 11.5 OROM, would it allow me to use the accelerate feature in Intel RST? I'm currently on the stock Dell A05 BIOS on a M18x R1 and the accelerate feature is missing in Intel RST.
