  1. thx for the information i'll get back to you when i purchase the card, going to buy it from ebay tommorow should come next week ~
  2. thx for the tip i guess i could rely on manually controlling the fans for now. i'll try upgrading to a 7970m and see if the cards were really faulty or if it is the motherboard
  3. i was just wondering say i bought a Clevo 7970m would i have to do anything extra to make it work for my M18x r1. Also would the fans function correctly and will i still have hdmi output etc. clevo cards are cheaper than dell >.>. upgrading to see if it solves my fan issues
  4. Sigh i just had my motherboard replaced recently too 1 week ago . If possible i really dont want a dell tech work on my laptop again, the recent one scratched my laptop and made the right side of the chassis have sort of a small gap not to mention several scratches on the top of the media keys. Also the thing is my laptop gpus do spin up on every boot but once i load windows theyll stop then wont spin up no matter the temps, oh and if the ec comal were to be faulty wouldnt the cpu fan not function properly as well?
  5. sometimes my gpu fans on my 6970m's don't start up and thus causes overheat issues. Im wondering if there's any fix to this, i don't have temp issues when my fans work i usually idle 40-48 degrees celsius and at max load playing games such as alan wake only reach 71 degrees. It's very frustrating having to restart my laptop to make the fans work again. So far i've tried multiple drivers 12.11 beta 7,6, 12.10 and 12.8 im also currently on A05 bios. If anyones know of a fix it'd be highly appreciated !. uhh also i was wondering would the gpu's be at fault or is it the motherboard or just a software issue ? oh and are there any vbios for the 6970m that may address this issue.
  6. i use a white r.a.t 7 mouse, probably one of the best mouse i've ever used especially for fps games i've used other mouse such as a g9 and razer naga but nothing beats the r.a.t 7 in terms of comfort pinky rest etc ~
