  1. this might help you with vbios'es modded by svl7.. btw ask him first if he has an original vbios for your vcard before you vflash it. If anything goes wrong that is http://forum.techinferno.com/general-notebook-discussions/1847-nvidia-kepler-vbios-mods-overclocking-editions-modified-clocks-voltage-tweaks.html
  2. Thats strange... MSI premium laptops can save vbios thru gpuz
  3. There is also one here on msi forums. I am using a dell 240 watts for my msi gt60. Works flawlessly and can overclock your cpu or gpu plus fsb too. now for that gtx780m owners here... Will some of you nb gurus post a screen shot of 3dmark 2013 Firestrike? I want to know the results with the vbios mod of Svl7 here.. btw... @svl7, what vbios version you modded for 780m? 30p? Thanks :-D
  4. Thanks pau1ow btw.. SVL7 must have bios of these beasts to unlock it right?
  5. I know there is a new version of MSI GT60 3k edition but will the current MSI GT60-One edition can be upgraded with the new GTX780M plus with its new heatsink design? Hoping to hear from you NB Guru's.. Thanks

    Msi- 1762-gtx 780m

I cant wait to watch this bad ass gtx780m running on GT60. If this is 20% more boost than gtx 680m my upgrade itch cant resist ;-)
  7. It's a heavy duty fan and it can cool both gpu and cpu though. just try to balance oc both gpu or cpu. Btw .. the heatpipes and fins are copper
  8. @Khenglish You're wicked dude lol.. having a 330 watts will gain access to thy kingdom come OC. Mine is fine at 240 watts and does not shut down at 4.2ghz. but at 4.3 you are right. still I need to balance between oc'ing and heat since msi nb have single fan solution though.
  9. Since I started this thread, I want to tell you that I am now using a dell 240 watts psu. The power it gives to my msi gt60 is far superior than the stock 180watts it came with. I have a modified ov vbios for my 680m (with 1.025volts) plus the fact that I can fiddle the fsb speed up to 105fsb. I also manage to put a 2920xm to it and gained and oc speed of up to 4.2 gigahertz. I am now thinking if I will get a 300watts (19.5volts x 15.4 = 300watts) dell adapter. It has the same specs of a 240watts dell (19.5volts x 12.3=240watts) though. Cheers
  10. so MSI GT60 models only have 40 pins... thats a no go to get a good led screen for my nb then..but compared to my stock led. What is the max resolution? Can you notice the difference? thanks
  11. What is the best specifications LED screen for a 15 inch laptop like msi gt60-one other than the stock led screeb that it came with? If you guys have any suggestions can post a link? Many thanks.
  12. Installed the proc. Its working!!! Thanks StamatiX... I Can overclock thru bios although why is the multiplier settings greyed out in xtu ? even in throttlestop, its not working.. only thru bios..
  13. I own an msi gt60 and recently bought an I7 2920xm (Q1CE) to replace my i73610 proc for ocing purposes.. I have an unlock bios which i can fiddle the frequency of the processor (Core Ratio limit 1-4) in the bios settings. One problem with my tweak is that when i stress test my nb, the Oc'ed speed decreases to 3.2-2.7 for quad core setup. What I really want is to stress test my nb with the desired speed that i wanted to see if its stable or not ...... Now I want to test its unlock multipliers thru apps like XTU or Throttlestop. I manage to successfully installed and run the XTU. THe problem is, is that the manual settings is greyed out except for reference clock... Same goes with throttlestop. Under Power Limits, i cant adjust the tdp.... Here are the images of my bios and xtu... XTU Bios features I hope you can help me with my oc'ing.... Thanks
  14. Hello Guru's, Due to my eagerness to try an unlock processor, I purchased an Intel 2920XM and will be receiving the processor today. I cant find it on msi website the compatible processors for my NB other than Ivy Bridge. All I know is that both SB and IB uses the same socket type. Will a Sandy Bridge be compatible with my unit (with an unlock bios)? Thanks
  15. I have 2 noob questions when Oc'ing an extreme mobile proc's - What Software App's must be used to stress-test mobile extreme proc's? Prime 95? and - How do you prolong the oc'ed speed of the proc while stress testing? I know you can increase the fsb thru bios of your nb if its unlock but can you elaborate more on what model's of sandy bridge you're referring to other than the extreme edition? Thanks
  16. Both performs almost the same. Some people here manage to mod the 670mx bios and reached of up to 5k in 3dmark11 but it's not that stable. Only for benchmarking purposes plus with a special cooling system to reach that kind of scores. One advantage of 670mx (kepler) is it runs much cooler than 675M(Fermi). In the end you wont see any difference when you're playing games though so cheers!!
  17. It looks like the end of gaming laptop for you. Bad news for us nb users.... lol Imagine all the adult movies while you're watching and relaxing lol
  18. I don't know if this is the right thread to post but what is the name of this thermal cover for laptops?
  19. project 240 watts dell adapter mod to MSI gt60 complete So far so good. I can oc bclk thru bios now (with gtx680m) not like before. Next Project Mobile Extreme Processor
  20. I wonder if there will be a "Titan" version for NB?
  21. I agree... But still i want an extra heatsink kit for msi gt60 though.. Oh well I cant wait for my 240 watts to arrive soon:Banane16:
  22. I think this might help you solve your problem but with a donation though...
