@sowacz. At first you ust have appropriate pen drive. not big one in FAT. Then you may try to put a bios file which you flashed called the same as MSI called it. Which means you should download Ady's tool from Mdl and open your BIOS with it. It will give you recovery name. Then put that bios to your pen drive and perhaps boot win95 files too and try to press power button while already holding ctr+home or Ctrl+Esc or Fn+ Esc etc. Good luck. @ender, maybe increasing FSB up to 5%. But nothing can be done with multipliers.

download AMIbcp or amitools 4.53 and open with it modded bios. you will search what you need there.

@Labatt24 you can use ThrottleStop with any BIOS.

Now when you got an answer you doubt in it? archieving - plus 2-3.5% games on dedicated GPU - good if gives 1% games on iGPU - plus 50% (depends) Why do you really need it? All you do in OS will get improvement like responce on clicking smth, Alt+Tab, using anything which is stored to RAM. Just better experience. We call it snappiness:)

Jut buy any 1600 RAM except stupid Blue HyperX and it will work as it should on your 2670QM. Not sure if it will work at 1866.

Looks like CPU is DOA. Smth is wrong with memory controller I would say.

@Xonar. GE-series have 1 mSATA and 1 SATA which both work at 6GB speed. It would be great if RAID would be supported though I don't know if RAID Option ROM is in this BIOS at all. But I know where you can find it:p Also XMP support would be awesome and other stuff for overclocking unlocked processors. Again I assume it is possible to do 2 mods with 1 image: Xonar's unlock and svl7's vBIOS mod:D BTW. Is there only ES 3720QM unlocked or other OEM 38X0QM and 37X0QM processors are unlocked too?

Take off 2 RAM sticks. Try to turn laptop on then shut it off holding power button. Do power drain (unplug and hold power button for 5 seconds). Put ONE memory stick in slot 1 and try to turn it on. Please tell about your results. What I currently think is that it is smth with the memory. Try to find 2GB 1333Mhz RAM at home. What RAM do you have??

Did you see that it is quite opposite here? This Gt640M is GDDR5 with higher bandwidth while 650M is with only GDDR3. I know it's old thread but I would pick 640M for sure.

I am for Nvidia. It is like Intel in the processors and Windows in the OSes. You feel that they have a plan for the future while AMD is trying to survive and still be somehow in competition. Nvidia creates new technologies while AMD is trying to clone it. It is always behind the Nvidia. How many complaints did I hear about AMD driver? A lot! While only complaints about Nvidia's drivers were about Beta drivers. Almost never about WHQL.
