1. There were drops during the tests as well
2. Yesterday with the following clocks @1.15V I run 3DMark11 but the score was lower than that with 1000/[email protected] This is the GPU-Z log file: No wonder why the score dropped...
3. @pau1ow how are your temperatures at those clocks?
4. Thanks chief! Yeah thete were a couple of times that I experienced crashes (screen turned into one color, not BSOD) but only when idling. During games I am fine. The 680Ms will definitely be very good performers but not sure if they will play nicely on the R2. I am waiting for your results! Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S3
5. Thanks for the heads up! 680M sounds really tempting indeed
6. Welcome to the forum Alienware-L_Porras ! Let us know if you need anything Sent from my Galaxy S3
7. 3DMark11: 10,709 ( vBIOS mod by @svl7 ) GPU score: 13,156 (so close to 13,5K+)
8. yeah, yesterday I flashed it like 4 times just for benching... and today I plan to do it again...
9. I never had a problem so far (and I have to flash two of them every time). It is dangerous but if you are careful and check the vBIOS before you flash it, you will be ok.
10. hahaha yeah btw tomorrow @svl7 will cook me a nice vbios mod to break a couple records
11. LOL with current ambient temps most likely I will enter the refridgerator and keep the laptop outside
12. GPU score yeah... my goal is 13.5K+ Too hard though with ambient temps 32C and such small heatsinks...
13. And we are still going up! 10,331 (too bad the CPU betrayed us this time...) tomorrow we gonna try 1060/1350 and let's hope for a better CPU score...
14. and yes we have broken 10K (thanks @svl7 for modding the 7970Ms vbios) Specifically 10,212
15. those are diode bridges, I will use one or two of them to lower the voltage output so both PSUs are equal. Probably I will need one or two, the other one is spare
16. Nice comparison @thanats007 In case you have problems with the pictures let us know
17. Still a work in progress since my job is leaving me zero free time now... What needs to be done is to find a way for proper load balancing (one PSU has 18.5V and the other has 19.7V output) so stay tuned..
18. That's really strange, they should work, especially after you flashed them on the R3 with the Dell vBIOS. Did you try a power drain after installing the card? (Doubt it would make any difference but it's worth trying...)
