  1. Worth a try... but the device ID is probably implemented hardware-wise. I mean it is also in the vbios but I guess that's not how it gets read.
  2. Yes. But that was just a quick run, I should manage more when I do it seriously. Yes, but only per hardware mod.
  3. Fan control is EC relatd, a bios mod won't change anything there.
  4. Yeah, will do as mentioned, I just run into some odd driver issues, had to re-install my system. Will do a heaven run when I get the chance, need to set up everything first.
  5. Sorry, never mind, I mixed up something. But keep in mind that I run 3dm11 and you run heaven, that doesn't necessarily compare with frequencies, especially since you run heaven at 1080p while I run 3dm11 at 720p.
  6. No, this just means that you're benching a custom setting while I was on a much lower resolution using the default performance settings $ Will do some heaven later, got some very weird driver issues atm.
  7. Hynix, rated for 5.0 Gbps @ 1.35V respectively 6.0Gbps @ 1.5V. 10k GPU in 3dm11 with the M15x : EDIT: Any special wishes for benchmarks or tests? I don't have that much games that include benchmarks, but suggestions are welcome, I'll see what I can do.
  8. The clock table is void... o.O It seems AMD changed a lot of things recently... all I can say is that the clock table I was working with all the time is empty.
  9. I only took a very quick look, haven't worked with AMD in a while and I'm currently not up to date with the kind of changes they introduced since the 7970m. This might give you overdrive, worth a try. 95EA8D2F-3E04-41B9-8E18-DC724C512E96_1350_od.zip
  10. Sorry guys, I just realized, hahaha, my bad. I can't guarantee that it will work, different board ID. Only one way to find out.
  11. FPS over 200? Not sure what you're referring to. 3dm11 GPU tests are CPU independent, well at least from what I've seen on my system. The pic above was with the stock vbios, here's how I'd expect it to look...
  12. If you're willing to do some soldering I can sell you a bios chip with an unlocked bios. That's currently the only option.

    Winter... !! :)

Some pics from last week And if you want to see how that ended...
  14. I had exactly this issue when setting up my system for benching... make sure your card is properly seated in the slot. Also check your bios settings again. Which motherboard do you use?
  15. Source of that backplate? Should help a bit, but not much. Keep in mid that there's no airflow at all on the back of the card. Also you have to be careful about the other parts on the card. I pushed my 680m to the limits without any heatsink on the vrams on the back of the card... same for the 780m, and 470m, and 660m... It's not really necessary to have such a backplate. Even on desktop cards the memory modules on the back are usually not covered. You might find something more useful to spend your money on
  16. Windows 7 64 bit? Let us see your .inf file.
  17. Can you tell me what exactly the issue was and how you solved it?
  18. Great offer, I'd love to borrow one for testing. Can you send me the vbios once you get the card? I'd really appreciate that.
  19. Did you turn off the IGP in the bios and set the screen to PEG? (You'll need the unlocked bios for that).
  20. You need a programmer that is compatible with the specific flash part and a kind of adapter, or what I can offer is selling you a programmed vbios chip, so you only need to do some soldering.

    Nvidia GTX 880m (Clevo)

Well, I dunno, I once read about an R9 M290X, but that seemed to be a renamed 8970m. Thaiti surely would be a lot of fun, I was hoping for a mobil GK110 from Nvidia.... but noooo. I guess it won't happen from team red either. AMD didn't never push any current / last gen mobile card except the 8970m / 7970m... even though the 7870m would have made a great MXM card.

The memory will overclock worse, in general high-density chips overclock worse than such with lower capacity.
