  1. svl7 can you please make custom inf file for 680m as I am not sure i got all things right and maybe thats why my core clock cant go more then 150mhz. In meantime I will fresh install windows 7 64bit. I dont know which ones exactly need to be edited so I pladed them all. inffiles314.22.zip
  2. Updates. I managed to install video driver. Couple gpuz screenshots under. Looks like fan is readed corectly as it ramps up under load. Only thing is core not going over 150mhz but I am tired for more investigation today.
  3. Maybe we will find out. Did you managed to flash svl7s vbios? I had to flash mine directly from programmer yesterday.
  4. Thats positive that your internal screen work. You have 3d version g73sw? I suspect that maybe my internal screen does not show becouse its 120hz 3d screen. I ordered non 3d screen connector they have same motherboard connector but lvds connector is 40 for non and 50 pin for 3d version. And I have 60hz 17.3 spare screen to test on it. I will also desolder sbios chip to so we can tweak and flash experimental bios. Also svl7 is exact guy you need help from for this kind problems
  5. Driver uninstall is almost necessary as you installed new hardware. But in your case you cant logon to windows desktop or what? You speak a bit confusing to me. Does your internal screen show picture or you are using vga cable and external monitor as me?
  6. svl7 what more we can do if we experiment with sbios? I cant get nvidia driver to install also. Looks like I need help with that to .
  7. Ok thanks man. I will try and install video driver with control panel now but must figure out first how to modify that .inf file.
  8. LOL. We are one step closer. IT LOADS WINDOWS!!! But displays still only via VGA output. It installed driver even i had cleaned driver before I began with gpu exchange. But wouldnt install nvidia control panel that is older version I had on hdd. I havent connected wireless becouse all this testing. I will post picture of gpuz screenshot now.
  9. Ok. Give me a sec...
  10. Which one is that? All files have same name. i recieved 3 in total. Sry its getting late here my head is not so clear I understand you mean nvflash version. Dont know what I had first but afer first error downloaded version you mentioned but still same.
  11. Ok I will wait so after we can try directly via programmer. Still same with 3th file to...
  12. Both files give same message. Error newer version of nvflash is required. I was flashing from dos. Should I try directly from programmer?
  13. OK. I am on my way Hmm... Error newer version of nvflash is required. Ok.
  14. Then we have doubled pot It would be fantastic to fire up gtx 680m in old g73sw, all g75 owners would die of jealousy..
  15. I choosed to try this route first and now I am all ready with deatachable vbios chip. If I begin to solder wires on motherboard to, it going to be bit messy. No its 4Gb card and I suspect it was from MSI maybe as it came with their vbios on it. There is none asus laptop with gtx 680m. Newest series is g75vx with 670mx inside. If you remove halt post will laptop load windows then?
  16. Thanks for fast and direct answer. Not sure if my programmer supports sbios chip on motherboard and if I going to tinker with it then i have to desolder it first and take whole backup as it seems to holds serial number and some other stufs not contained in generic bios file from asus. No other way around? They already moded 660m vbios to work on asus g73jw which is same just with older intel processor series.
  17. If we get working vbios for g73sw you would not need this . It is only for recovering failed/wrong vbios flash. If/when we get fix it will be as easy as to connect laptop to external screen via vga output and flash vbios from usb with nvflash . I Sent PM to 2 very good modders here that I am willing to donate 100usd for working vbios. If you are willing to join then we will get more presure on those guys
  18. I am ready now to test any 680m vbios anyone has. I can confirm that sst pm25lv010 chip works just fine. Under is picture of wiring and sop8 adapter with vbios on it that can easily be deatached for programming.

  20. Does it freeze on windows login screen? Do you have red line on left side of screen? Does it post via vga or on lcd? You might have to resize picture i think max resolution is 800x600.
  21. Not really It was pain in ass to remove original IC that got destroyed inadventely so now i soldered Wires to points and on other end I have deatachable sop8 adapter with new vbios chip soldered on it so I am ready for any bios you have in your library
  22. I told one person here i am willing to donate 100 bucks for solution for our problem.
  23. I rcomend you wait more as it shows that its not just straight job excanging cards. Either vbios needs to be moded so its recognised by sbios or other way around and there isnt many guys around capable and willing to use their time on this.
  24. When i am finished with soldering removable socket for vbios chip then I am willing to test absolute any vbios you throw at me .
  25. Which one is bios chip on 680m? I think I found it. Marked as MXIC mx25l2005. Does it matter if I replace it with sst25vf010?
