  1. I have a HD4600 + internal K1110M + GTX970 on Akitio.... in the past.. this setup didn't work... Wondering if it works now with new drivers from Intel + new drivers from nvdia + windows update
  2. Hey..... Anyone tested this again but with the new windows 10 updated?... the update released few days ago? Maybe Nvidia Optimus is working with the new big update for windows 10.

  4. Hi, Has someone tried the new drivers from yesterday: 358.87 from nvdia + New Intel HD4600 drivers? They both will have WDM 2.0 drivers. Maybe Nvidia Optimus is working meaning we could use the internal LCD like the way we do in win8.1 Anyone?
  5. Anyone tested the new drivers of Nvidia and intel drivers for the HD's ?
  6. No I didn't! But.... anyway... windows 8.1 is working flawless with latest drivers. Its just confirming windows10 is not yet stable. I believe I will keep windows 8.1 until dx12 games arrive next year. There are no gains to move to windows 10 at this moment. But I still have my windows10 in image (acronis dump). So, I can recover it... but I think its useless at this moment. Its something I will just try again next year. Windows 8.1 just worked straight forward with all the latest drivers to all components. anyway, many thanks for the alternative! I will point that DDU
  7. Hi, I've tried to install that 350.12 but I get black screens and driver stops. I went back to windows 8.1 + latest NVidia drivers and the system works like a charm. Windows 10 = crap
  8. Hi again Tech Inferno Fan Just did a scratch install with windows 8.1 + latest Nvidia drivers and the system works like a charm. Using internal LCD of my laptop (optimus is working) I achieve 5100 GPU score on firestrike extreme / 4800 total with 970 MSI Gaming Therefore.... im wondering if this is really a NVidia topic... since I used the same driver version (just selected different OS). I don't believe that compiling for windows 10 would make the difference. I'm more thinking about Microsoft issue or even the intel drivers...!
  9. OMG :\ Thanks a lot Tech Inferno Fan !!! I was hitting on the wall already. So, seems like I will need to install 8.1 instead...... :\ And use older drivers......
  10. Hello, I need you help about using the internal display. I got my setup mounted and running. Here are the specs: HW Used: - Zbook G2 with HD4600 and dedicated NVidia K1100M + Thunderbolt 2 - Akitio Thunder2 - MSI 970 Gaming - 500W SFX Modular PSU powering both PCI and Akitio Barrel Software: - Windows 10 with latest Nvidea drivers - latest intel drivers Problems and doubts: - I've disabled the controller for the dedicated K1100M. I only have the HD4600 and 970 GTX. - However, even with 970 defined as default physics , the benchmark tools (like 3dmark and unigine) still use HD4600. - I went ahead and used a HDMI cable from 970 GTX to monitor. Still, the default bench would use hd4600 - I disabled HD4600 - meaning only 970 is there - benchmark runs ok external screen. Internal screen is still on as extended (and I cant seem to find the place for disable this) In other words, what am I missing here? Windows 10 issue? - How to use my internal screen? - How to use external screen but disable extended mode? Its so weird. I'm used to configure multi displays with display port in my office and I have 4 screens. I'm felling really stupid by not finding this. Thanks!

  13. So, if you were about to build a new eGPU system, what would you do? I'm planning to keep my 780 until next year Q1 - when hbm2 is released. No real reason to buy a 970 when 780ti OC will do the same. However, this will create some power limitations. So, for now, I'm planning to buy the akitio, leave the box open and feed these fellows with a normal PSU, or even a bequiet SFX (that can handle 450W). Then, next year, I could just drop in a HBM2. I'm just wondering if 4x bandwith will start to be a limitation.... BTW, can with the PSU, I can beed both GPU + akitio correct? Do I need some adapter? - - - Updated - - - I have these to feed my led's at home! hahahah Inside my fake celing
  14. Great info! Thanks a lot Morv I went to check 780 Power and the reviews seem to show it its 400W+ I would really need an external PSU. I was thinking about getting one TFX400. Its small, modular, and gives few more power. The size will be more or less the same like Dell. There are similar solutions from BeQuiet About the Gigabyte 970 Mini.... i really had the idea it would fit!! So, is there a lit of cards that fit? Will the normal 970 fit? Or the 970 mini from Asus? Any 980 that fit?
