  1. Klem I have the same exact laptop, will you please modify so that it runs overclocked at 1050 core/5800Mem/1037mV? I am unable to upload vBios file for some reason.
  2. No, the OC one is by SLV7 if I'm not mistaken. I have yet to find the already overclocked one by Klem.
  3. Heat is good. I never go past 65c playing WoW in all Ultra. I am also running the PremaMod on my Clevo P170SM-A with the silent fan profile.
  4. I'm actually running someone else's vBios but I will give yours a try. Thank you. Edit: oops, thought this was directed to me. >.<
  5. Klem, any chance you could modify a Clevo bios for an 870M to auto OC to 1060 Clock, 6000 Ram and 1037mV? I can't seem to get the clock to actually stay at max speed when running any games. Would OCing through the vBios fix that issue?
  6. NVIDIA GeForce GTX 870M video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-4710MQ,Notebook P17SM-A Topped out at 90c. 1075mV
  7. Here you go guys. NVIDIA GeForce GTX 870M video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-4710MQ,Notebook P17SM-A Core: 1090 Mem: 5000 I forgot to take down the temp but wasn't much hotter than stock speeds.
  8. I flashed my 870M with the firmware provided here and I am still unable to change the core clock. Does anyone know if it's an issue with the actual NVIDIA drivers? I am running on the latest (344.11).
  9. My apologies, by dGPU I really meant iGPU. Anytime I run the WEI tool it only reports on the HD4600.
  10. Is there a way to disable the dGPU in the P170SM-A with your latest bios?
  11. In your opinion, would it be worth waiting for these new GPUs to be released with the new Intel processors? I just purchased a P170SM-A but I am still within the return policy and the Maxwell 9xxM GPUs are supposed to be a fairly decent upgrade if I'm not mistaken.
  12. This will come in handy when flashing the 870m. Also I'm having difficulties extracting the current vbios using GPUz, does anyone know of any other utility programs that do the same?
  13. I recently (as of yesterday) purchased a GT70 that has the 4800MQ CPU and the GTX880M card. I am not too familiar with MSI laptops but I hear they are very customizable. What are some of the quick things I can do to boost performance on these laptops? I should mention I am very comfortable flashing bios/vBios.
  14. Rubbing alcohol and a lint free cloth is generally the best way to clean any surface.
  15. I own the Asus G55VW that has diff surfaces. For the plastics metals and LCD I use rubbing alcohol with a lint free cloth. For the rubberized finish I use those Armor All leather wipes, they work great and leave a shinier finish and it seems to repel dirt.
