You can increase the voltage but tot reduce it? Can you reduce it to normal once you increase it?

I dissassembled my y500 to find that there is tape all over the place. Will my warranty be void if I remove these pieces of tape?

I was wondering how to unlock BIOS in the lenovo y500 and enable the intel HD 4000 graphics. Can someone please help me? I'm new to this
