i7-2960XM is compatible and much faster than a i7-3630QM,but i think You need to use a unlock Bios to change the Multiplicator of the X-Etreme CPU. Hello Both CPU`s are not working in GT780,only Sandybridge CPU`s are working there. For Example:i7-2670MQ. You could use this Cards: GTX 460M,GTX 560M /same Heatsink GTX 570M/GTX 580M/GTX 670M/GTX 675M /same Heatsink GTX 765M(Clevo Vbios)/GTX 770M(Not Dell) /same Heatsink GTX 970M/GTX 980M /same Heatsink All other Keplercards like: GTX 670MX/GT X675MX/GTX 680M /GTX 870M /GTX 780M / GTX 880M and Quadro K3000M / K3100M / K4000M / K4100M/ K5000M / K5100M not working. But i think that Maxwell GTX 965M and Quadro M2000M / M3000M / M4000M M5000M also will work On the Pfoto You cansee the different Heatsinks

You need a Battery with minimum Charging Power of 30% or Power Adapter. With Power adapter and without Battery it will also flash.

This is a 2GB Vbios for GTX680M,this is from a Medion Erazer(MSI) they use only GTX680M with 2GB. GTX680M2GB.rar

You need a USB Stick from where You can starting from like HD. You can make it bootable with the Tool Rufus. Then You extract nvflash and the Vbios to the USB Stick. The Boot Mode in Bios must stand on Legacy,this You can find in the Bios under Boot. Then You start from USB,if it will done You type: nvflash -4 -5 -6 GTX680M.rom and push Enter. Then You must confirm the Flash and nvflash will flash the Vbios. When this is done You start new and change the Boot Mode to the old Value. rufus-2.12.rar

No Problem. You need a bootable USB Stick with Nvflash and the Vbios. Please rename the Vbios to a easy Name like GTX680M.rom You start from USB Stick in Legacy Mode with the Stick in a USB2.0. Then You type: nvflash -4 -5 -6 GTX680M.rom Then You confirm all and it will flash the Vbios. After this You restart. nvflash_5.163.zip

The GTX 1070 on aetina have a second connector for it,the GTX 1070 from the Zotac Magnus don`t have it.

The GTX 1070 is MXM Standart Size,but it have a second Conector for Powersupply. But they have also other interesting Cards like GTX 1050 ti.

This is not from the Bios. have You also updated the EC Firmware? After this please reset the EC,take Battery and AC Adapter out and push nearly 10 seconds the Powerswitch. After this restart and look what happens. I also have this one Time with a GTX 770M in a GT70,i send it to MSI and they only install Windows new.

You must flash the MSI Vbios. There is also a newer Bios,E1762IMS.51X. But it is to big for uploading GTX675MX.rar

GTX 1070 works in GT72,one People in German Forum tried it. For this it is possible to use the original Cooler from GT72VR. But for GT70 the Card Size is to big.

The latest Bios is E1762IMS.51X / E1762IMS.71X,maybe this will help.
