  1. Keep us updated! I have a M6800 with a 980M at the moment. Just hoping your shot works!
  2. @J95 I am happy to report that it works! I'm running all my games on DX12 now.
  3. @J95 Hi mate, I'm finally ready to try the latest driver with my 980M in my Dell Precision M6800. All my games are crapping out on me due to my old drivers. I will update the folks in NBR once I get mine up and running. I have been reading your other thread "[Alienware & Clevo] Aftermarket Upgrades Driver Support - Modded INF", do I have to flash the Prema V2 vBIOS to use the drivers? Which line in nv_dispi.inf should I mod? Or should I be modding the nvdmi.inf instead? Anyway here are my Hardware IDs. PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_13D7&SUBSYS_15CD1028&REV_A1 PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_13D7&SUBSYS_15CD1028 PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_13D7&CC_030000 PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_13D7&CC_0300
  4. Looks like a driver issue with 359.06. A clean install of Windows 8.1 produced the same results. An older driver worked though. So I'm a bit puzzled. Will it be the same for the Windows 10 driver?
  5. @J95 Update 1: I was updating the wrong nvdmi.inf, no wonder the setup couldn't find any compatible card! My bad! After following the steps again, the driver got installed. However, upon booting up, all I got was three screens with a black background and mouse cursor. Nothing else... No login screen, really nothing! I was not able to get into safe mode, as I have forgotten to prepare a Win8.1 USB stick, to remove the driver and attempt another install. Update 2: I got Win10 installed and proceeded with the same steps. However, the only difference this time round is the driver I have used. I used Mr. Fox's GeForce 345.20 Desktop Driver Mod for Alienware and Clevo Mobile GPUs from NBR. It worked before for me in Win8.1 and in the thread someone have tested it out on Win10 and it worked. I am glad to say it worked for me too. Will try out the newer drivers when I get the time and might try Mr. Fox's method.
  6. @J95 I have installed a 980M in my Dell Precision M6800. I am reading through your guides and it seems to mention editing the nv_dispi.inf instead of the nvdmi.inf? I was trying to edit the file from GeForce 359.06 WHQL and it seemed quite different to the instructions I found from you. I am using Optimus as well. I also read about: - DDU "Clean & Shutdown" - Disable driver signing I suppose I have to do the above when installing the driver using the modded inf? Sorry this is my first time attempting this and I am getting a bit confused here. Anyway here are my Hardware IDs. PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_13D7&SUBSYS_15CD1028&REV_A1 PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_13D7&SUBSYS_15CD1028 PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_13D7&CC_030000 PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_13D7&CC_0300
  7. There can be many issues at play here. A weak signal or issues between ur asus card and ur router. Can you provide us with more information? Like your signal strength and did you adjust any settings for your asus card?
  8. I agree with wuzzard. You will need a minimum of 240GB SSD for your OS drive. Why not pick a 980 instead of a 970?
  9. It will take a while before DDR4 becomes mainstream and DDR3 gets sidelined. Even then the prices might not really go down either for DDR3.
  10. If only it had the vbios for the Dell K4100M. It only lists the Dell K5100M. Anyone knows where I can find a copy of the vbios for the Dell K4100M?
  11. I'm looking for the Dell K4100M vbios. Anyone out there with the card and can upload a copy? Thanks!
