From the reviews ive read, you do get the increased boot time using Windows 8.1, but when it comes to gaming, performance wise, they are about equal. Some games get better fps on Win7, others do better on Win8. Im just not a fan of the way you have to navigate around in Window 8.1

There is a great read HERE on applying thermal compound. Based on their testing, the less you use, the better. Though this can change depending on the brand and area of application.

I went through all the drivers starting from 331.65 in order and got to 344.11 while still having everything work. The next update after this makes my graphics scrambled again. So far run all day without any issues.

The latest version on my Nvidia GTX 765m card (344.48) is really making it glitchy, going back to Dell's Recommended 331.65 Driver.
