I am running A08 .. Still looking for the right AHCI.. did a vanilla installation, problem still there

Just noticed, once my laptop/SSD goes to sleep it wont awake anymore, but decides to turn off instead. Been playing with ACPI settings for a while, but doesnt seem to change. Anyone noticed the same issue? Cheers, Ed

When I first received my R1, the drive broke within 3 months. Upset as i was had to go through a very unfriendly helpdesk to get it replaced. After a couple of months, the laptop spontanously started to reboot (which was fixed after a upgrade to A05-A08). What is the build quality like for the M14x R2? Same horror stories, or is this the best laptop ever??? Cheers,

I've just installed 16Gb Vengance at 1600Mhz.. So far so good!

I am running Vengance 16Gb 1600Mhz... pretty sweet memory in my opinion.

Well my personal opinion: The M14x R1 isnt just all that. Really dissapointing to see such a bad build quality, fan-noise, no sata6. Anyone here who can recommend the R2 or other alternatives? Cheers,

I am seriously thinking about FAN replacement, and or create some extra holes for better airflow.

Hi guys, Would be nice to share with you all what BIOS you have running and/or modifications. I am currently downgraded to A05. Anyone here experiencing issues with their BIOS (apart from SATA6)? Cheers, Tony
