  1. I currently have your modded VBIOS for a GTX 980M, and I want to overclock it slightly. I have already increased the clocks with nvidia inspector, but I want to have the card load these clocks automatically since now I know that they are stable. Could you modify my VBIOS at P[0] so that the offset for base clock is +127? I'm not interested in doing anything with the voltage as it's not needed. Thanks.
  2. I want to edit my GTX 980M VBIOS so that I can start up my system and automatically go into a game with a stable overclock. I used nvidia inspector for this oc, so if I want the higher clock speeds, I manually have to click on a shortcut that then loads the new clock speeds. I want those new clocks to be written in to this prema mod vbios that I have currently flashed, but I need it to be edited for Performance Level [3] -(P0). The speeds that I want to change are the base clock and memory to +162 and +125 respectively. Is there any way that I can accomplish this by myself and if so how would I do it? I need to edit the actual vbios and then flash it but everytime I open the Maxwell Bios Editor it gives me an out of bounds error and I cannot do anything. Thanks.
  3. I flashed my 770m's in sli to the nvidia oc rev 02 (first of the 770m's on the list). Is there any way to remove the "mod by svl7" right before the main boot screen (where you have the option to enter the bios)?
  4. I bought a crucial m550 mSATA ssd, and I thought that I could just put it in the system in the mSATA slot, but I tried this and it does not work. The BIOS is not detecting it. I have tried to do a power cycle three times, no avail. I have tried resetting the CMOS about 10 times. No avail. I have tried reformatting windows. No avail. I have tried to reflash my system BIOS. No avail. I have tried reseating the damn thing about 50 times. No avail. I have also made sure that the msata cable was in tight and secure. It was and currently is, but no avail. I really don't know what to do at this point. Although during my troubleshooting, I started up windows one time, and it installed an ATA port 5 sort of thing, but the drive was never recognized and I still can't get it to show in the BIOS, no matter what I do. I have run out of options, and now I need to consult the minds of the internet. Thanks.
  5. I am aware of software that lets you sync the alienware lights up with the music so that the lights change according to the beat of the music. But is there such software that lets you program the lights to change at certain set points in a song?
  6. I'm not an expert in any way in this sort of stuff, so with that being said: Master and Slave cards were what I heard of when I was trying to do an upgrade of a single ATI GPU in my older system. You needed a master and a slave for crossfire to work, but only a master for a single card. So this master and slave thing may only be with both the older nvidia cards, or ati cards in general, or both. In fact, it most likely is because with my SLI setup right now, I've never heard of NVIDIA GeForce cards having a master and slave card and a master and slave slot. Probably because they are newer cards. DISREGARD WHAT I SAID ABOUT MASTER AND SLAVE CARDS! It most likely does not correspond to this issue that you have! I'm pretty sure that a slave card has different coding than a master card, meaning it's supposed to work only with another card of the same type (ATI 3870m Master with a ATI 3870m Slave). In fact, more than likely, if you put the slave card in the master slot and the master card in the slave slot, I don't think you would get a post using a single card, because both cards are in the incorrect slots. Don't quote me on this though. That's my interpretation of it. So NOW with THAT BEING said: You probably have a faulty card, which is most likely the one that doesn't post. Could you post pictures so I could see what is happening?
  7. I recently flashed my SLI GTX 770M's so that they both have the same vbios and so they perform a little bit better than what they were. After I flashed I see that the mod by and tech inferno, all rights reserved screen is now included in the boot cycle, which in this case it occurs before the main system bios screen (where you press F2 to get in the bios and F12 to change boot order). Is there any way to get rid of this message other than flashing back to the regular vbios that I had before? Thanks.
  8. If you're trying to reset the bios, reseat the cmos battery. Take it out, hold the power button down for 30 seconds without the battery or ac power plugged in, then put the cmos battery back in, put in your battery and start it up. See if this works.
  9. Are you trying to go from an R1 to an R2? If so, I believe all that differs is the motherboard, so all you need to do is go to ebay and find an m18x r2 motherboard, like this one. They are expensive though, so make so you really know the difference and what you need to get. The link I gave you was for an R2 board, and with how motherboards come, that's a good price for it.
  10. You may have bad cards, but it might also be the CMOS. Try taking it out and pushing down on the power button for 30 seconds. I remember that when I take out my cards and put them back in I always get a black screen with 6 beeps (do you get any beeps?), but after reseating the cmos, everything works fine. Another possibility is that they may have sent you 2 slave cards instead of a master and a slave, but I think that is unlikely.
  11. Hello, I joined this forum to gain some insight on mods or performance enhancements that I can do on my alienware m18x r2. Currently looking to increase performance of the SLI gtx 770ms inside of it.
  12. I would try to use the nvidia 770m with this. I just flashed mine that are in sli right now to the same vbios, and they work no problem. Give it a try, but make sure you backup your current vbios on both cards incase you have to revert. Use this guide to flash!
  13. Personally, I like the E2E glass on the screen. I have an m18x r2, so how is this mod done? In other words, how do you take off the glass panel just incase I were to scratch it?
