Hello people, I just got a GTX 680M DELL videocard for my Alienware x17 R3 120hz 3D enabled laptop. I can test any bios that can help fixing the 3D stuff. I dont use 3D at all but might help other people who like this feat.

You can use Display Driver Uninstaller Download version 13.4.0.0 Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) in order to clean your system. Do this from Safe Mode, after that install latest drivers from nvidia. If this does not work, try several older versions of drivers, using same DDU. If still does not work, try to re-flash the vbios of videocard.

As a Alienware x17 R3 owner, I can say that build is high quality. The feel of system is awesome. The downside is price....I really dont like this part as it is really expensive. Also I had a lot of problems with this system, mostly regarding GTX 580M with lots of BSOD. The keyboard feel on alienware is a bit cheap compared with others laptops, for that price I was expecting something different, in the past had a benq laptop who had a awesome keyboard compared to x17 r3 one. Heatsink was a mess after I first time open it spilled all around CPU and GPU. Big minus for a top hardware like this. I dont know how is Clevo, but with little work, Alienware is a awesome piece of hardware, still to expensive......lots of lights, blink blink etc. If price for Clevo is way cheaper with same hardware and same performance I would go for Clevo. If you like the look and feel of Alienware, blink blink and exclusivity go for it, is awesome. Think at Alienware as a Lamborghini of laptops.

Hello, Can you please unlock this bios version for Alienware x17 R3 A12 but to not apply the SATA fix, I know you released this version unlocked with SATA fix, but I want to flash an unlocked BIOS with Dell default settings. For my laptop, even if I install SSD in slot 1, I get BSOD after some time. If I flash normal A12 BIOS from Dell everything is stable and ok. Coollaboratory Liquid Pro is best from tests. I used this paste on x17 R3 580M, and it dropped 7-10 degree usage. Now my idle temp is 50-55 celsius and max I could reach in Dota 2 and Starcraft 2 on Ultra was 61 C. On my previous paste, GPU temp was around 62 on idle, and in usage 72-78 C Warning, with Liquid Pro if you put to much, could spill over the termal plate on GPU and could short-circuit. I noticed that somehow, the liquid paste binds with top cooper, that`s is a good thing, as it covers all the scratches and holes. Totally recommand, but be carefully when you apply.

Can someone post an unlocked x17R3 A12 unlocked bios but without the SATA fix? If I need to make a donation for it, please tell me where to send and how much. Thanks!
