My Y410P bios is v1.06. Can i still use this mod?

AFAIK vbios is Bios of your VGA card/GPU

And what about VRM? I owned Y410P and planing to change to i7-4800 or i7-4900 but i'm worried about VRM. Faster processor will drain more power. But i think heatsink will be fine (Maybe) they're all same TDP just repaste with good paste it will be fine.
