haha its just so much fun to see what kinda clientel is mostly using clevo computers its all about overclocking, tweaking, modding, heat management and just highend components, loving this community
-
lol, u JUST changed that though! sneaky! haha

i have to agree, one of the most important things id like to see is an unlocked bios and NO vbios restrictions so future upgradeability is actually in terms with the PnP MXM form factor. why else would we have this, otherwise, right? aside from that, theyre actually on a pretty good path at the moment with slimmer form factors and still max. performance at the same time, combined with sleek design, high-res displays and M.2 compatibility! @P6xxSx and P7xxZM series

LOL, its funny reading ur post regarding the MP race and then realizing u have a lumia 1520

aw man prema, ure making it reaaaaally difficult for me to stick to my p651sg order here this is crazy, its actually thinner than my p150hm! any updates on availability yet? before xmas right?
-
if thats the case itll be an absolute dream machine just hope it doesnt share the same dimensions with the p570wm
-
wow this looks really nice! damn now im starting to have doubts about the P651SG
-

jaybee83 replied to Thumper_23's topic in Clevo

[HARDWARE MOD] Clevo P150/P170 cooling system (solutions here)
jaybee83 replied to beefsticks's topic in Clevo
umm....did u remove the old paste and put on a fresh one before putting back the heatsink? once u take it off u cannot reuse the paste anymore!!! cuz thats exactly what will happen then@10 degrees raise... -
well in that case why bother flashing at all? if ur system is running just the way u want it and its that important for every day operation then just leave it as it is
-
u wont get any performance increase just by flashing the bios mod, since it retains the stock bios options out of the box. ull have to manually tune settings such as ocing the cpu and ram, thats what its basically for aside from that it includes stuff like updates for the ME firmware, cpu microcodes and such. check the changelog for ur respective prema mod and ull see what kinda stuff ull actually get
-
i just saw that u asked the same question over at NBR, tirenz already gave u the contact (goldenstar) good luck with them
-
where exactly are u located? i could tell u the name of a clevocenter here in germany that definitely sells them, if ure interested
-
shouldnt really matter, gpus are freely interchangeable between the p170 and p150 series of the same gen
-
dear god u sure have some serious hardware lying around at home, mister!
-
come to the dark side! go SG! do it! Do It! DO IT!

ok so as it seems, switchable graphics machines cannot oc their screen refresh rate, since the intel igpu, through which the display signal goes is limited to the stock frequencies and max. 60hz. at least that was the case back when i first started using cru. heres the detailed "manual" i sent to a buddy of mine who couldnt at first get it to work: maybe this helps - this is how im using CRU: in total, it shows three "AUO11ED Generic PnP Monitor" selections in my case. the first one I just leave the preset detailed resolution. in the second one i deleted the preset detailed resolution and left the box empty. the third one i used for my custom resolutions (deleted the preset resolution first). I chose "add detailed resolution" / automatic timing - best for LCD, typed in my specs, pressed OK and then rebooted my machine. after that, the custom profiles showed up in CCC in my Desktop Properties and I could select them as active profiles idle clocks didnt change, they stayed the same. after inputting the custom profile and rebooting, check and see if it pops up in ur intel gpu or dgpu menu to be selected...

ok, so next to the Clevo "Eiffel Tower" I noticed two more peculiar sightings on the Clevo website: first, the new and groundbreaking! 1014 model, sadly without pictures: and also the possibility of Clevo being homophobic....? Cheers!
