What software are you using? Blu Ray discs require proprietary software for playback. As far as I know, you can not just load one up in VLC or other media player that hasn't paid for the licensing.

I use an SSD raid for my Steam game partition and its lightning fast. I've had it now for over a year with no issues yet. I keep my OS on separate SSD.

I picked up a Intel AC wireless card with Lenovo compatible FRU: 04W3814. Apparently, Lenovo whitelists there own cards depending on the model of the laptop. I will never buy from them again until they change this ridiculous policy.

Mine stays in the low 80s with the 755 SLI setup. I have it mostly on either a laminate desk or stone surface. Fans don't seem to sound as they are anywhere near full power. In short, so far so good.

Just got a y510p and the BIOS white listing is a pain. The wifi card sucks but the gaming performance is good. Coming off of a Dell which lasted 7+ years and is still in use as a internet terminal, i have pretty high expectations for it.
