  1. Thanks to Klem for the bios!!! My G750JH is able to so far handle 1080mhz core and left memory at 3000/6000mhz. 3dmark11 graphics score at 1080mhz is 9300-9400.. Not bad! Killing the 880m stock at least and that makes me happy. I think we're being held back by our Asus power brick.. Need more wattage... I notice the CPU starving too at these clocks.. it won't boost as high under load.
  2. Is there any reason we can't use SLV7's 780m custom vBios? Does it not work with the Asus' 780m in the JH model? I'm on stock bios and I just used NvidiaInspector to OC to +135/+100 mem and got: Firestrike (graphic score): 5479 3dmark11 (graphic score): 8452 That being said, seems like almost a custom vBios doesn't "hugely" improve things but gives another 10-15% gain.. I'll still mess around with a custom vBios but was expecting more wild results lol.. I know some folks were able to get 10k+ 3dmark11 graphic scores.. that's pretty worth it!
  3. Watched your video.. that sure is strange.. doesn't even seem like wattage starvation either. It's killing your physics performance. Is it possible this is a bug with the benchmark and your vbios? Can you try testing another bench that stresses GPU and CPU together and see if you see the same results?
  4. This is awesome info and progress.. good luck in your journey and i'll be following and very interested in the end results. Can you share any info on your eGPU setup? Is it limited to certain cards.. Would it be possible to be able to run more powerful cards as well? I have a G750JH with 780m but when this starts to lag for me in newer games, i'd consider something like this.
  5. It seems a 780m equipped Asus G750 is a rarity around here.. guessing probably because of it's cost vs. what you can get for less money from Sager/Clevo/MSI. Anyways, it comes with a 230watt PSU.. I am hoping this will be sufficient for overclocking to maximum levels? Anybody know?
  6. Not exactly a notebook but the iMac does use mobile graphics and notebok ram.. I never hear much about overclocking or modding the 780M in the iMac.. I'm assuming this is because the vbios is undumpable or integrated into the complete system bios? I'm not sure, if I can dump the vBios can someone look at it and see if it's moddable?
