  1. If my experience can help.... I have done the same mistake as you , bad flash with this %*$£°@ Winflash ... On my M17x-r2 the 7970M when installed prevents the Computer to post (CapsLock and ScrollLock are flashing). I have tried to install one 5870M in first pcie port and the 7970m in the "slave" port....same result , the 7970m prevents the computer to post , so no possibility to flash it anymore... The only solution is to solder a new bios....may i suppose you to contact SVL7 Cheers !
  2. After cutting the x-bracket a little my temps drop by +7°c .... I bought my card directly from DELL , the x-bracket is an offical 7970M DELL to. The upgradeyourlaptop kit uses a 6970M/6990M X-bracket. I use IC diamond7 for the GPU and 0.5 mm pads (7W) from Phobia on memory chips and VRMs
  3. Hello , I have bricked my card I have used ATIWinflash under windows , the flash have failed and now the card is preventing the system to boot... The CapsLock and ScrollLock are flashing on booting , preventing the bios to go further. SVL7 said the only way is to desolder the bios chip and solder another one , i 'm awaiting him to do this for me , but is there another solution ? I'm very disapointed , that's the first time i brick something and i've done numerous flashes before , and never had any problem... Thanks in advance
  4. RAZER Mamba Currently 1200 DPI @ 1000Hz Sometimes 1800 DPI @ 1000Hz for some games (mostly FPS games)
  5. Well , if anyone have tried to flash DELL to a CLEVO 7970M , it would be great to know the result concerning the fan becomming native or not
  6. Yes , i have a m17x-r2 , upgraded from Xfire 5870M to one 7970M My 7970M comes from DELL and i receved it with DELL official X-plate. I have no need of HDMI support and would prefer native fan control instead of lauching HWINFO64... I have also planned to undervolt the card , i'm reaching 83°C while playing Crysis 2 ^^ The X-bracket have been modified , i've cutted the "branches" by 1millimeter in order to do a retention Mod , before this mod i was reaching +87°c quickly and the laptop was cutting power due to overheating from the card.... Cheers
  7. Hello everyone , well no need in repeating the title ^^ Does anyone tried this or is it definitely impossible ? Thanks in advance
