  1. Would it be possible to accomplish addition of lenovo Fru 3814, Intel 7260AC if you have the actual BIOS program 74CN44WW from Lenovo? - - - Updated - - - - - Updated - - - Unfortunately, it seems that the 3.05 BIOS has write protection on it that prevents custom BIOS files from being flashed. A number of us have tried (and failed) to get around this. I'm still hanging on for hope that a solution will come, but I'm not holding my breath.
  2. I am looking for further guidance on my issue. Lenovo y510p, whitelist removal or addition of Lenovo FRU: 04W3814 Intel 7260ac to existing whitelist. This card is used on Thinkpads and does work. Can you add this to whitelist please. Would make many members happy. BIOS 3.05 74CN44ww, Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_08B2&SUBSYS_42708086&REV_4B PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_08B2&SUBSYS_42708086 PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_08B2&CC_028000 PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_08B2&CC_0280 I have received error 280 on the flash programs you sent me. 4. What if there were a way to enter this into the whitelist, rather than eliminate it. It would at least let users use the Lenovo Intel 7260+BT4.0 card, Lenovo FRU: 04W3814 Easy card to buy and not very expensive. Below is the hardware info from device manager in windows 8: Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_08B2&SUBSYS_42708086&REV_4B PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_08B2&SUBSYS_42708086 PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_08B2&CC_028000 PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_08B2&CC_0280
  5. Thank you. Did the files I sent look ok? https://www.dropbox.com/s/hzuskwsedofzgop/Fptw64_backup_results_y510p_v305.7z I will need instructions too.
  6. I also have a Lenovo Ideapad y510p, bios version 3.05 I am attaching a link to the backup files (bios.bin, and screenshot) from fptw64. Would love to try a better wireless card. All I would need is whitelist removal. The original bios file is not on Lenovo's website. https://www.dropbox.com/s/hzuskwsedo..._y510p_v305.7z

  8. I spoke to Lenovo support, and they are having me return the machine. They acknowledge that a card with a Lenovo FRU should be supported. I will be sending them the machine with the Intel 7260AC + BT 4.0, FRU #04W3814 pre-installed. Note that the Bluetooth portion of the card seems to work fine.
  9. I did not have any luck on the phone. Would appreciate help asap.
  10. Here is some more detail: the card has IBM FRU 04w3814. The Broadcom card I tried which also did not work had the following part #04w3764, Attached are photos
  11. I think it would be risky to attempt to solder the contacts to the system board. Too small to hand solder.
  12. I tried a Broadcom card - IBM FRU 04W3764 (20200099) on a y510p. I had no luck. Same unauthorized card error.
