  1. If I could get a solid 1150MHz core I'd be happy. Hopefully I can get that with under 1.1V. I don't need max performance, I'd just like a small boost for the demanding games out there and benchmarking.
  2. I use vsync most of the time. Screen tearing really annoys me and vsync helps keep temps down so it's a win win for me. The only time I turn off vsync is when stress testing an OC.
  3. I have a 128GB SSD in my desktop and have W7 Ultimate, Office, CS6, and about 20 other random programs (none huge) on it with just 30GB free. I store all of my media on my 3TB internal, but even a modest music collection cant take up 5-10GB of space. If you only plan to install what you mentioned in the OP, you can get away with a 64GB, but if you plan to put other things on there, it's better to be safe and go for at least a 128GB.
  4. Alienware's build quality is tough to beat IMO. The soft touch materials covering mine feel much nicer than generic plastic. The LED lighting effects are also bar none. I play a lot of World of Tanks and as my health in game decreases the lighting changes colors to reflect that. It isn't necessary, but is a nice touch that I appreciate having.
  5. I'd also like to know what the effective voltage limit is on the GTX765M. I have an Alienware 14 that I plan to flash the vbios on soon.
  6. I prefer glossy in a dark room where reflections are a non issue. I went with dual glossy displays for my desktop and really enjoy them. My room is dark with controlled lighting so everything is crisp and colors "pop" in games. Overall I prefer matte, just because it's more versatile IMO. Glossy is terrible when there is a lot of ambient light, and the reflections can be distracting. I have a matte display on my Alienware 14 and wouldn't have it any other way on a laptop. Matte displays can look slightly grainy depending on how aggressive the coating is, but I prefer a slightly grainy display over reflections.
