The complete example 2570P DSDT override files are provided, including 'load.bat'. However, it was never intended to just run it and think it will work for your system. It's provided as an example. Instead, a new DSDT override should be created by extracting your existing one and editting it. This is explained at https://www.techinferno.com/index.php?/forums/topic/5874-guide-dsdt-override-to-fix-error-12/

It means that your eGPU adapter + video card + notebook cannot maintain Gen2 speed. There is some variation between video cards with some having slight different terminating impedance causing the signal degradation. You may then wish to test another manufacturers video card to see if can get a stable Gen2 signal. Otherwise you will need to run Gen1 with your current hardware to maintain stability.

I can't say if Chameleon or Chimera would fare any better as haven't tested those bootloaders with Setup 1.30.
-
Opening post explains this situation. Downgrade your link from Gen2 to Gen1 either using BIOS options or using Setup 1.30.

Running the system without the bottom gives much better venting/airflow, as does using a notebook cooler. However, there's an innovation included in the latest TB3-equipped 15" HP ZBook Studio i7-quad ultrabook that might be of interest. Was for me. They've enmeshed the complete bottom to keep the i7-quad temps down. REF: http://www.techradar.com/au/reviews/pc-mac/laptops-portable-pcs/laptops-and-netbooks/hp-zbook-studio-1308737/review

MY experience with Clover's UEFI module resets any PCIe config space changes made by Setup 1.30. So unfortunately this combination isn't going to work.

8570P Information / screen upgrade

Best screen for you is one of these. They have 95% gamut. The first is the one used in W520/W530 machines with much praise on say notebookcheck.net http://lepus-tech.com/Laptop-LCD-LED-Panel/Panel-15.6/B156HW01-V4 (matte) http://lepus-tech.com/Laptop-LCD-LED-Panel/Panel-15.6/B156HW01-V7 (glossy) http://lepus-tech.com/Laptop-LCD-LED-Panel/Panel-15.6/B156HTN01.1 -

INFO: WWANDOS - HP WWAN whitelist writing tool Interesting WWAN whitelisting writing tool at HPFOCUS (CN). The google-translated page quoted below. It may interest a 2570P owner enough to subscribe, buy points, download and report their results here? mudboy mentions it's successfully added a UN2420 to a 2760P, though warm boots may still flag the unwhitelisted device halt requiring a cold boot instead.- 1882 replies

eGPU experiences [version 2.0]
Tech Inferno Fan replied to Tech Inferno Fan's topic in DIY e-GPU Projects
Would be more helpful to create a complete 8460P implementation guide where the DSDT part has a link to the fixed DSDT. Then 8460P users have a complete reference of what they can get going after putting in the required steps. -
eGPU experiences [version 2.0]
Tech Inferno Fan replied to Tech Inferno Fan's topic in DIY e-GPU Projects
https://www.techinferno.com/index.php?/forums/topic/5874-guide-dsdt-override-to-fix-error-12 already explains next steps to do if you still see an error 12 after performing the DSDT override. Quoted here in case you missed it: -
A user reported in the EXP GDC thread of a fridge turning on/off causing spikes. Using a different power point being the solution. Maybe worth a try as well as a good quality PSU of adequate capacity to drive your eGPU.
-
Rightly so, we see the X230 results have a HD4000 iGPU listed as a secondary graphics card. No iGPU listed against the E6430 results. Without the iGPU, the NVidia driver won't enable x1 pci-e compression. This will give a huge difference in DX9 results like 3dmark06: http://www.3dmark.com/fs/6345009 (X230) http://www.3dmark.com/fs/7139888 (E6430) @viilutaja did you follow the guides in this thread on configuring the eGPU correctly by setting UEFI variables to ensure the iGPU is enabled on boot, Gen2 set, TOLUD reduced, etc?

Ensure you are running a Gen2 eGPU link. Set your power profile to 'high performance' where PCI link state management is disabled Set your NVidia control panel 'power management' mode from 'adaptive' to 'prefer maximum performance'. Enable HPET timers via a admin command prompt 'bcdedit /set useplatformclock true'

EXP GDC Beast/Ares-V7/V6 discussion
Tech Inferno Fan replied to jacobsson's topic in Enclosures and Adapters
Lenovo W510 is a 1st gen i-core with only has a PCIe 1.1 (Gen1) EC/mPCIe slot. You require a 2nd-gen i-core (W520) or newer to have a PCIe 2.0 (Gen2) capability. Note too that the QM57 chipset datasheet refers to PCIe 2.0 but that's misleading. It's only for the power management side, not for link speed. -

What about a macbook air 13 display? It looks like it has the same 40 pin connector as our HPs. If it works then fitting it into the lid would be easy with a bit of skills. Since there is absolutely no IPS alternative then one of the best TN displays might be the only solution. Good luck fitting a 13" LCD in a 12.5" chassis with the 2570P bezel providing a full view of the LCD. The X220/X230 IPS screen was fitted by some 51nb.com (China) members to a 2570. Wasn't perfect but much improved viewing angles: http://forum.51nb.com/thread-1643196-1-1.html http://forum.51nb.com/thread-1488256-1-1.html- 1882 replies
