  1. Are you getting the error message in your VM when you plug your device? If it is, I had that exact same problem. It's because VMWare supports only one type of USB 3.0 controller (NEC chipset based) in Windows 7. Any other type and it won't work. http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=1025956 The only solution is to use Windows 8. Microsoft's driver will make VMware happy.
  2. I find that both have their uses so really you could play with Windows 8 for a couple weeks and if you don't like it, wipe the HD and go back to Windows 7. I like the concept of Storage Spaces among other things but as I said, stick it out with Windows 8 for now. They'll be pushing an update later this year that'll hopefully appease those who like the old layout more.
  3. Like the others, I'm in the NVIDIA camp. Things just seem wonky with a couple of AMD's stuff.
  4. Hi I just joined and hope to receive my Y500 soon (Ordered the SLI 750m) so that I can try this out. I have a question regarding widi, if Lenovo's support page has what looks like a driver to it, does this mean it should support it?
