euqlaog
I have been aware of this product. They updated to Thunderbolt 2 only some months ago, are actually the only company so far advertising enclosures for GPUs as well. Unfortunately prices are in the same category as Sonnet Echo Express III-D and Netstor NA211TB. The benefit is that they support full length cards, and with the included external PSU (180W), it might fullfill the power requirement of GTX970. Backplane 412 itself should support enough wattages for any GPU if a proper PSU is used.

Oscar J
So has anyone tried one of these Cubes? 180 W PSU and support for graphics cards for just $495 is a pretty good deal, no?
Dschijn
For 500$ you can build you own case with a more quiet and powerful PSU, and better cooling. Some interessting cases can be found here: http://forum.techinferno.com/diy-e-gpu-projects/8675-egpu-cases.html
