y510p sleeping after 125 seconds

Hello All,

My Lenovo y510p is going to sleep after ~125 seconds of inactivity. I can not figure out why. Could anyone give me some ideas please?

Windows 8.1

Screensaver is blank after 5 min

Powerplan is high performance with the following settings (all for plugged in):

turn off display after 15 min

computer sleep 30 min

Advanced:

Hard disk turn off after 20 min

sleep after 30 min

hybrid sleep off

never hibernate

allow wake timers disable

turn off display

I am using lenovo energy management set to high performance, battery mode = optimized battery health

Sleep Return Timeout for Unattended Wake Up

Interesting read about the default sleep timer being 120 seconds (for unattended wakeup)

Unfortunately this is not my problem (mine is set for 78 seconds)

No, I have not.... It is totally annoying... especially while working and a telephone call comes in. Either I have to keep wiggling my mouse or log back in and re-enable my vpn

Did you try to use windows power manager instead of the lenovo one?

I find the y510 got a really cheap and buggy one.. No compare to the manager that comes with the think pads.

I have the same issue with my y510p, and I can't figure it out for the life of me. Is there any way to maybe disable the Lenovo power manager or fully remove it?

It must be something in relation to Win 8.1, I went with Windows 7 x64 and my screen/power settings are working as configured for me
