EchoDuplication
So, I replaced my laptops BIOS with this unlocked BIOS version (v2.0x BIOS) so I could use an alternate wireless card. However, I've noticed extreme loss in computer performance. In general, I notice that my Intel® HD Graphics 4000 chip is much slower than before. I can't even play the Windows 7 animations without extreme stuttering anymore. So, I attempted to look at the BIOS settings to see if I could fix the problem myself. After digging through the power settings I found a power saving mode that was enabled for the chip, so I disabled it. I didn't really notice a difference.I've also attempted a complete reinstall of my operating system to see if the issue was on that end. I've attempted using Ubuntu, and multiple versions of Windows. This didn't fix anything. Can I replace the BIOS with what I had before, or maybe fix the issue by changing some settings in the BIOS?Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks. Kistop
after loading BIOS , you must set defaults in BIOS
Zeroused
You'd better load default settings after flashing a new BIOS. And remember to install the latest HD Graphics Driver. Edited April 19, 2016 by Zeroused Correct
tramp
Echo, Can you let me know if and how this problem was resolved for you? I plan to complete this Y580 BIOS swap soon after I get access to the files and I'd love an update on you situation. Thanks!
