Also even though it's 2gb will it show as 4gb can they be modded to show 2gb if so?Can the original BIOS be tweaked to work?Does the 240w adapter help? (using 740qm)sidenote: using some clevo bios's fan was set but was regulating the temps fine and temps were pretty low.I also have to modfy the amd bracket to fit.Will update when dne tomorrow.Thanks again! Khenglish Posted April 27, 2014 Share Posted April 27, 2014 I am not aware of any 8970m that only has 2GB of memory.As for artifacts when just using a web browser, I'm concerned that you damaged the card before using a proper bracket. The 2GB is used in an MSI laptop as far as I know. HIDevolution MSI GX60 3BE-240US AMD A10-5750 2GB AMD 8970M 15.6" I have got a Dell 770m for €129 posted on eBay gonna see how it goes. Hi rsgametech, did you manage to get rid of the artifacts and slow clocks using the 44450 bios? And are you having any problems with the 4gb vbios version on a 2gb model?
