Iansstud
My 1 month old GT60 wont let me charge my battery, I had 99% this morning, ran it for about 1 hr on battery, turned it off and plugged it in to charge, hrs later I fired it up on A/C and it will say "Battery 0% available, Not Charging"I've removed the battery restarted, uninstalled the driver for the battery, Reset the computer again, installed the battery.... etc. over and over with no changes.... I believe I reset it about 5-6 times now.some background, -About 2 weeks ago i got a notice that my battery was "bad" and needed to be replaced, I rebooted and the message has never returned.-Last week I downloaded and installed Win8 and it has been running fine (despite the fact that I HATE Win8!!!) for a week now.any Ideas on what to do the help this out? Moderator BAKED Posted November 23, 2012 Moderator Share Posted November 23, 2012 Have you tried with a CMOS reset? If it's still under guarantee (it's a new laptop so it should be) you could ask for a battery replacement, if this doesn't workyou may have to RMA it.Have you excluded the psu as a problem? Iansstud
well, I worked on it for about 5hrs last night, and about 10pm it started charging and it has worked since then... weird, at this point I believe its something to do with win8.... Xonar
I just had this problem with my laptop as well. It wouldn't start charging until an hour after I plugged it in. One thing I noticed was that the battery was scorching hot when it wouldn't charge and once it had cooled down significantly, it was back to normal. On Win7.
