Bios Modder Klem Posted January 8 Bios Modder Share Posted January 8 Note: Be careful with change any settings in bios setup menu! Before you change any settings in bios, you must absolutely exactly know what you want change and how! Don't try to disable Intel graphic card! If you set any settings to wrong value, then laptop break and can't start! In this case you will need to recover your bios with hardware SPI programmer device.

Broken MXM card make the EC controller go haywire and the fan to spin at 100%. The way is set Primary Display to IGFX to force IGP to be working. This way, the MXM port signal is bypassed and everything will working ok.

mhax
update in my msi gt70. i succesfully remove the nvidia card and it boots up to windows, the fan is spinning but not that loud, what i noticed is that the cpu temp with or without the nvidia card installed is around 43c min and 64c max.
