Widdy
Hello and Happy 4th! (If it applies to you ) Today I decided to flash my M14x R2 from A01 to A03. Upon completion the system rebooted and now it just sits at the POST Alienware splashscreen. I can select F2 (Setup) or F12 (Boot Options), they light up if I hit either one, but the system just sits there. It's not a hard lockup, system responds to CTRL-ALT-DEL. Is there a thread of how to get to the CMOS battery? I was thinking of pulling that and let it sit for a bit hoping it'll clear itself. Any other suggestions is greatly appreciated! Thanks! svl7
You can refer to the official M14x R2 manual, "removing the coin cell battery".And welcome to T|I!
mw86
Welcome to Tech Inferno. I hope you get the issue solved by a power drain. Do you have any peripherals attached like a external hd that could be confusing it at boot?
