I am about to do this same swap myself.  I am replacing the K3100M in my M6800 with a GTX 980M 8GB.  I had to do all the driver mods for my M6600 GTX 680M swapsevreal times over the past 2 years and the current driver version running on the M6600 is 445.87.  If you want i can give you a copy of the newest drivers for the GTX 980m in a M6800 in a few weeks once i get mine all setup and know the drivers work.

Do you by chance still have those drivers for your 680m? I also had issues and was able to build and install 425.31.

      Hi,
I have an old Dell Alienware M17R3 (2011 built, “new”A12 Bios). Back in 2014 my GTX580M broke, so I decided to put in a GTX680M, which lasted till recently. Now I’m stuck again with 8 beeps and the LCD not turning on. When I remove the card and switch the laptop on, the LCD at least turns on, so I guess it’s a faulty GTX680M. Now...back then people suggested not to go for a GTX580M due to bad thermal values, but as I’m not really using the Laptop for gaming anymore, wouldn’t a GTX480M possibly be a better alternative that lasts even longer? I heard that GTX700M’s could fit in as well, but people reported non fixable sound issues plus thermal issues. Any ideas?

Hi everyone i was wondering if it was possible to upgrade the clevo P775DM3-G to P775TM1-G you know if feasible by buying new motherboard and new heatsink, my idea was to upgrade to i9 9900k and rtx 2080/2070.

      Hello, guys!
The situation is the following. I am a 3D artist and I work for a Ukrainian company. After the events in our country, most employees moved to safer cities, while the rest have to work remotely. I purchased a non-working Clevo p750dm-g from my hands. The reason for the inoperability is that the owner tried to flash the BIOS with coffee lake support, but something went wrong and he stopped showing the picture (black screen), but the laptop itself starts up, the fans spin, the keyboard lights up, the SSD heats up (too much). I tried flashing the bios using a USB programmer, but that didn't work. I would be very grateful if someone could help revive this car. It is imperative to return to the functional system at work.
