[SG] Rufus
I just swapped out my 4x2GB DDR3 chips for 4x8GB Gskill DDR3 to max out the mainboard. Task manager only sees 16GB while CPUZ sees the full 32GB. Upgrading the bios from A09 to A12 didn't solve it. Would anyone have ideas why this is? [SG] Rufus
I'm running Win7 Home Premium and the CPU is an i& 2670QM. I have a 2960XM that will be going in shortly.
[SG] Rufus
Looks like the OS is the problem. Windows 7 Home Premium does not support more than 16GB. I need Pro or better.
[SG] Rufus
Ok, so I installed Windows 7 Pro from an unused copy I had. All ram is detected properly. The 2960XM works perfectly well after installation. One unique issue I found was two "unknown devices" in the device manager. One was the free fall sensor driver, and the other was the Alienware On Screen Display driver.
