wersuss Posted July 30, 2016 Share Posted July 30, 2016 (edited) Hello, i'm using Prema vBios trying to overclock 980m , at 1400Mhz core 1168mV, memory clocks are stock 5010Mhz temperature is 84-85c , after a while of Heaven benchmark running gpu stops responding, computer starts beeping fans 100% and shuts off. What could be a problem since temperature is not 91c yet? Forgot to mention that PSU is Dell 330w, green wire grounded. Solo wing Posted July 31, 2016 Share Posted July 31, 2016 As far as I know it's an issue with mobile Maxwell GPUs, Prema told me it has to do with MOSFETs reaching their limit. More over, the 980M was supposed to have 6 MOSFETs instead of 3. Max I could get was 1402Mhz where I was able to barley pass the Steam Oculus VR tool.
