  1. I was curious, how do I reflash stock bios? My HDD is failing and I will need to send my computer in on warranty, what do I do to get the stock bios on? And I'm assuming I'll need to switch my WLAN card back to the default?
  2. Never mind about the links. Anyways, I flashed successfully. OC is working fine. Thank you for this! When my new card comes in the mail I will donate.
  3. Did you successfully use the 2.02 Modded Bios? Also, when I boot into Legacy, USB drives still dont appear. Any tips? Thanks for the help by the way. Its just that flashing BIOS is something very very fragile. And the first links dont work for me...
  4. Does this go for anyone with 2.02. Also, I seem to have a major problem, with maybe a minor fix. So my bios in bootmenu is only showing HDD IPv4 and IPv6, so disc drive or USB drive. I need help with this if I am going to flash a modded bios Edit: In the readme it says "disabled wlan" does that mean whitelist is gone or that you actually disabled wlan in the bios. Just want to be safe.
  5. Something that may help is to go to the desktop and right click, then go to Nvidia Control Panel. From there click "manage 3D settings" and scroll down until you find "power management mode". Click it, then click "prefer maximum settings". That helped with a couple games.
  6. Yes. Also, my BIOS has an issue with detecting any external bootable drives. For example, on the boot priority list, only HDD shows up and IPv4 and IPv6. USB and Disc drive never appear. This is keeping me from installing Ubuntu, something I'd very much like to use.
  7. No, it is a hardware issue, meaning that no software can allow it to work, unless someone who had a lot of computer design experience somehow soldered the right connection, and or added more parts to make it work. It is safe to say it is out of sight. Sorry.
  8. Can you modify my v2.02 BIOS? Also, if you do this are the instructions the same except I use the modified version of the one I give you? Thanks! http://sdrv.ms/16zrTBo
  9. Is there any BIOS unlock that I can use for v2.02 at this time? I know there is a sticky for BIOS unlock on the Y500, but that is for v1.0x BIOSes, and I don't think I can downgrade due to the fact my machine was manufactured 3/13/13. Is there anyone who can help me out? I am sure someone like slv7 is working on one, but I'm not sure the status.
  10. Are you going to make a modded bios for v2.0x? I would really be looking forward to it!
  11. So I have a question, being relatively new to this. Is there any way I can downgrade my bios from v2.02 to v1.05 in order to use the modded bios, or do you have a modded v2.02? Thanks!
