@svl7: I've completed the modified vbios flash on my Clevo 680m; will let you know if anything out of the ordinary happens. As an alternative suggestion, I created my bootable flash drive with Rufus (Rufus - Create bootable USB drives). Fantastic utility: standalone exe, no installing; and you can choose MSDOS or FreeDOS, or an ISO image if desired.

Yes, the wifi card is in the mini pcie slot, accessible by removing the bottom access door. Do a google search for "y570 hmm", and take a look at page 36 and 41 of the pdf (covers y470 and y570 models). Bluetooth is "on select models only" and would be located under the palm rest, which takes a bit more dis-assembly to access. There is a youtube video out there with someone running an egpu on a y460, so it should be do-able on your system.

Y580 for a part time gaming laptop?
datashifter replied to carr251's question in What Notebook Best Fits My Needs?
Lenovo specs out the battery life at 5 hours for the 6-cell, and you can upgrade to the 9-cell if needed. RAM and HDD are pretty much CRUs across the board on Lenovo laptops, but you can confirm by taking a look at the Hardware Maintenance Manual for that model. Do a Google search for "y580 hmm", the first result is a PDF; go down to page 78 for RAM, page 81 for HDDs. Anything that doesn't have an "N" in the CRU ID column is considered customer replaceable. If you don't throw it at the ground then you shouldn't have any issues with the LCD cracking. I've seen HDD platters shattered from a drop and no damage taken to the LCD (on Thinkpads). Take a look at the required specs for Crysis 2 vs what's in the machine; it would appear to be more than adequate. -
Everything I read prior to purchasing indicated that a second 680m was overkill. However the option should still be there to add the second card as I am within Sager's 30-day satisfaction guarantee. I will be flashing svl7's vbios in a bit and o/c. From what I read here it should make a major difference.

Just ordered an NP9370 myself. I will be flashing svl7's vbios and some system bios unlocking is definitely in order.

I just purchased a Sager NP9370 with a single GTX 680M and am not impressed so far. I was expecting there would be nothing it couldn't handle, but am saddened to find lag and frameskipping in newer games at high settings. I'm looking into overclocking the GPU at this point. If the MX isn't slated for the near future, then I may try adding a second 680M in SLI.
