I think in the future VR will be much more prominent but for the time being the pixel density and headaches are going to be a huge problem with VR. -
I had the same problem on my old laptop, and it was caused because of a dust buildup inside of the GPU, I would pump some compressed air through the GPU and see if that fixes it.
