Be sure to check other devices in device manager.

I am sure you have, but the function key and the power button for 30 seconds, was some sort of reset for me through research, and an external display plugged in to allow use of a new gpu and Uefi to my knowledge. Obviously if it is bricked because of the bios install cut, as Matty had suggested I agree. But just to be sure, an external display and the full function reset for diagnostics.

Alienware m17x R4 Upgraded to 980M Driver issues
Rival2k replied to kennymax89's topic in Alienware M17x / AW 17
Hmmmn, did you get this fixed? I foumd when doing what you are seeming to do, I would go to the installation directory, and when the installer failed, I would copy the installation folder and paste it to another folder and then when clicking accept on the failed installer would delete the installed files but leaving me the copied ones, to access, or use as a driver directory in device manger. I am actually doing similar on repeat over the years. On laptops though using the internal display may not work after doing this as the integrated graphics and the gpu use the same or something. I am trying to work this out.
