So does anyone still have an adapter and is not using it/willing to sell it?

BTW would an RX580 get bottleneck'd by the 4700MQ? what about a 1660 super?

Yes, I still have  Swung Huang's adapter(which supports an external graphics card + hard drive) . DM me if you or anyone else is interested to buy it.  I am currently using RX 580 and it works very well. I generally get 80-100 fps on Fortnite with medium settings.

Hi everyone! Here’s a good news.

I adopted a 3D printer and made some new cases.

    Here’s some pics.

Wow that look awesome.... Is this a new version that we can order, or is it just a side project?

    Here’s a Google sheet.

If you want an adapter, put your address and shipping info in it!

I will decide the price according to how many people want it.

    Won’t be too expensive.(under $100)

Just a plain board with ultrabay->PCIe, without any other fancy stuff.

An acrylic stand can be purchased additionally. Please tell me if you want it.(additional cost will apply)

My personal email is 1339148162@qq.com or yellow20000911@gmail.com. I will get contact with you if I’m ready for shipping.

    Hi Swung Huang,

Google docs seems fine for collecting info. But its best if you can create a ebay link where its easy to make payment and track the order.

Btw really appreciate your interest and dedication for building the adapter and help us out.

    It’s a finished product:)

Anyone who wants it may reply to this posting and I will consider shipping them?

    Won’t before June :)

Does it include the Adapter as well or just the casing? Count me in if its both.

Here's a schematic symbol and a footprint for KiCAD I've designed for my version of the adapter:

Speaking of my ultrabay project, it's kind of stalled right now as my Y510p has been malfunctioning in a very strange way for a month or so, and I started to consider a PC build. Nevertheless, I'll still finish it at some point.

P.S. I haven't yet ordered any PCBs with this footprint, so it is unknown whether it has got any mistakes.

Thanks @High_Voltage it really helps, will start working on it and let you know if it needs any updates.

Hello, since you are new member i can't send you either pm,  https://ufile.io/z1yg5, the shematics from gerald, also note that you will need ultrabay adapters, (in my case i had ordered them but unfotunatelly the coustoms asked for extra 100euros i am from greecce, so i rejected the package, i had ordered 7 pieces , and thus i abandoned the project, however you're from states as i see so you wont have coustoms. If someone will create those adapters will gladly buy for me). Also you'll need the power pin adapter for power supply, and some transistors, resistors, capacitors, all these can be found if you google the product codes from the schematics, so i wish you good luck.

Awesome, Thanks for the files, will keep you posted about the progress.

  7. I came across this thread looking to see if I can use the Beast adapter with my Y410p laptop. Looks like there are better options possible.

After reading through the entire thread I wanted to try and build the Ultrabay adapter just as a side project.

I will be ordering the ultrabay connector from the website links posted earlier.

Can anyone PM me the semantics file shared by @geraldOr the one others have worked on and modified. (I am not able to access the link as I am relatively new in the form)
