Just for curiosity, if i replace my 7970 by a 1070, did i get some trouble to install drivers, or i will be simple to switch amd ==> Nvidia ?

My Laptop is on the 7970 (only 7970 seeable on the Windows peripheric manager, no IGP), but when i try an OCCT test on the GPU, he crashed after 3 or 4 sec after the beginning of the test I wait for a friend to test another GPU on my laptop to confirm the dead of my GPU.

This method helped me a lot and permit me to revive my M17xR4 : enjoy it

Hi everybody, I come to you for a real problem i get since 2 days : A month ago, i had recovery the bios with the E-sata method and A05 bios. No problem, i just reinstall W7 and all is all right. But 2 days ago, Amd ask me to Update GPU driver, and i do it. Since, every time i try to launch anything or install AMD driver, the M17 carsh in black screen and i was forced to shut down. I supposed after a complete day to try some answers that my HD7970 was dead, because Under the integrated GPU, the computer works absolutely fine. I have save my alienware with these A05 unlock bios and flashing method after my bios bricked for no reason. But actually my bios was locked, and for some reasons i can't unlock it ...
