still not working...still error 31 on the device manager...the funny thing is that the bios recognize the card and if i try to run the diagnosis tool it pass with no problem. tryed to instal the a13 bios but still nothing...i will try to revert to a05 bios

back from work, installed the 780m, went into the bios set PEG and integraded to disable. boot up installed the drivers through modify inf file and it went ok. now the pc won't boot up cause it beep once at the begininng and it stops. i removed cmos battery, reseat and this time when the default option was loaded, it starts...went into the bios it recnognize the nvdia card, set PEG only and igpu disable, but after boot it won't start again...

Hi, i'm starting a new topic because i abbandoned the idea to put an old GTX 260m card on my laptop, so i decided to buy a newer one a nvdia GTX 780m. Searching on google i read that might be plug and play and i only need to mod inf. files to actually install the drivers. Now i came here and i see problems with audio etc...Do you reccomend me to install the unlocked bios version? currenltly i have the a12 stock. Do you think that the my current heatsink ( 3 pipe ) that i was using along with my old 7970m can fit into the 780m?

hi back again same story....suddenly i decided to buy another video card, a 780m and now checking on eurocom it says "need a12 unlocked bios"... i have the stock a12 installed atm...it really needed to run the card?or i can stay with the stock a12?

UPDATE: i tried to use LaptopVideo2Go: NVIDIA & Laptop News .inf modification and finally it recognize inside windows as GTX260m and i can open the nvidia pannel but there's only the power option.... i tried to use the hotkeys FN+F7 to activate only the Dedicated card but the pc won't boot and it beeps 8 times, that means no video card detected....

hi i have an alienware m17x r4 and my hd7970 died, do you think that using unlocked bios will make for expample function an older gfx card, like an gtx 260m?

Hi recently my graphic card AMD HD7970m got video ram problem ( even checked into the dell test program when you boot the system ) and i found on ebay another video card MXM 3.0b, a GTX 260m with dell bios ( maybe from a m15x or even m17x ). After i mounted the 260m my bios recognize as Nvidia GTX, so i booted into windows and it says Standard VGA. i download GPUZ and it's an 260m, just to be sure. Here comes the problem every driver i tried it didn't work. i even tried to mod .inf files from the lastes driver but it does not work. PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0618&SUBSYS_05511028 anyone can help me?
