  1. Hey everyone, So as the title clearly states, I currently have a problem with my R2. I turn it on use it for 30mins and at exactly that time and all, it turns off without any warning whatsoever. Ive researched this issue for some weeks now without any solution. Motherboard seems to be faulty and that is literally the end of it all, but i want to just throw the question out there and perhaps a fellow member can advice something. What i have already tried are as follow: -Replaced the hard drive/Formatted/exchanged -Replaced the ram/exchanged -Re-flashed Bios and currently with the Unlocked version. -Removed battery while using the laptop/Plugged back in. -Re-pasted CPU/GPU -Removed CMOS I have installed Windows 7 and 8 without any effect. I have also changed windows settings under Battery Management plan. The trick i have found and worked around this issue is, I put the laptop to Sleep before the timer hits those 30mins, i wake up the laptop and continue where i left off. It is not some permanent solution, but seems it works well. Although i have to manually put it to sleep, not sure there's some Application that reminds me and sets the laptop to Sleep. (if anyone has any info on that, it would be great) I have also read somewhere on a forum, the CPU/GPU might have been faulty and cause the internal sensors to force the shut down. I'm not sure if Replacing the CPU might do the trick, but might be worth a try. Although, I do not have an extra CPU for the Laptop. Is the M14x R1 CPU compatible with the R2? Anywho, I hope you all got the Idea. Thanks for your time!
  2. you can also test your ram, as well as a hard drive. They sometimes get tricky too..
