  1. Hey there unreal Thanks for your opinion. The reason i ordered the R3 is because i had an excellent opportunity to sell my R2 for the same price i bought it (due to price differences between Israel and USA where i bought it) So i was sitting on my cash and waiting for the M18x when Brian here got the R3 and told me how cool and how light it is, and me being in a state of AW withdrawal (We decided it's a true medical term ) decided to go for it. And yeah, weight is a benefit but 6970 XF is hard to pass on.
  2. So, my order for the R3 is being delayed and now that we have confirmation of the m18x i am inclined to cancel my R3 order and patiently wait for the availability of the m18x. Advantages of it would be the dual 6970/485 setup hopefully a metallic body hopefully better build quality bigger screen the disadvantages as i see them are weight price Your thoughts ?
  3. Since we now have official Dell confirmation that the M18x is coming out in April, i am opening this m18x subforum.
  4. Since we now have official Dell confirmation that the M14x is coming out in April, i am opening this m14x subforum.
  5. we are both waiting for it to drop under 650$. I think it'll take couple of months...
  6. he didn't buy the CPU yet. it's on his todo list
  7. I played The Witcher for a while. heard lots of good stuff about it but I remember it being quite buggy and that interfered with the gaming experience. I am playing assassins creed brotherhood but that's on my PS3.

the best router you can buy today would be the netgear wndr3700. its also a dual radio design and it has amazing wireless speeds. I am getting around 10-12MB/s on wireless consistently. it also is supported by ddwrt and by openwrt. I promise you though that once you install ddwrt you will not want to buy a new router.
  9. I'll try to ping my sources about the weight.
  10. Naahh the pix are a real deal. Too many details there..
  11. HahahhahahahHahHhHa You might be right. Ill let you know:)
  12. Well they were made for different purposes. My wife has a kindle and she loves it a lot. Its much easier on the eyes to read from a kindle vs the iPad. Plus kindles battery life is like a month
  13. Will do once i get it. I plan on doing a thorough review... Actually I think my wife will mostly use it most of the time. For me it'll be angry birds machine LOL
  14. M14x launch seems immanent, I'd wait for it to come out if you can. But in the end it really depends on the rep youll get when asking for a replacement. He might agree for a money back, but i think it'll be easier to convince him to give you a m14x + you add money than to convince him to give you your money back. Good luck anyway, and keep us informed BTW, did u see the Chinese review of the m14x ? It's on the front page of techinferno.com..
  15. If I were you I think i would try to push for a money back and wait for the m14x to come out
  16. Good luck mate! Hope you get one on time!
  17. while I wait on my iPad order to arrive (eta is 4/22), i was wondering if anybody got one and wants to share impressions
  18. Not sure you guys are aware of this.. remember the backdoor number to get your real order status back when we were ordering the R2s? well the old number doesn't work anymore but if you call 1-800-ALIENWA (1-800-2543692) then, 2 ,1 it'll ask you to enter your order number and then it'll redirect you to another place, where it'll ask you to enter your order number again (WTF?) and finally you'll get that detailed status. Mine says "Build Stage"....
  19. Some new info : New Info for Alienware m14x | Tech|Inferno
  20. it will be covered thoroughly in the m17x-R3 review we're working on, however, i can tell you already that 6970 XF ain't gonna happen in a R2.
